Women's Retreat: Bringing light to sexual Assault & Trauma
Friday, March 9th - Sunday, March 11th
I held a day long gathering in November around this topic and it inspired me to make a weekend of it. My approach is a spiritual approach. We will use ceremony with Fire and Cacao, we will work with healing and protective herbs and flower essences, there will be ritual, gentle movement, visualization and meditation to journey into our wombs and we will sit in circle sharing & listening so we can release and transform what we have been carrying.
Sexual trauma leaves such a deep imprint in our bodies, minds and souls, I want to create a space for us to work with these experiences from another angle. Psychotherapy is powerful and I am offering something that can compliment that work to come in from another angel. Our bodies hold so much of what we experience.
My intention for our time together is to create a sacred container for us to share our stories and to hear the stories of other women. May these stories fill us with courage to break the silence and give us peace to know we are not alone. And, may we begin to let these stories go. Transforming them into a healing salve. My intention is to hold space to traverse the pain, the darkness and the anger - in a way that we can truly feel it, honor it, find compassion and allow it to move through us feeding empowerment.
My approach is a spiritual approach. I am offering ceremony for you to go within and tap into a source beyond you for healing and guidance. I am holding a safe place for you to share and listen, a place for you to create strength and friendships with other woman. When we heal as individuals we are also healing the collective. We become part of the ripple. When we can face the depths of the darkness then may we be empowered with the light.
We will gather in the forest and spend much of our time in a beautiful yurt that has found a very special place in my heart to do this work. We will be held by the trees, the animals, the fresh air and starry sky. Nature has a profound ability to heal and I have found doing this work in such a space has a huge impact on the healing process.
You can either camp on site outside the yurt or you can commute back and forth. Though the setting feels extremely remote, you can travel to downtown Hood River in 15-20 minutes (thanks to the magical beauty of the Gorge) so check in and see what will serve you best. We will end at roughly 10pm in the evenings and start at 9am in the mornings.
- Space is limited to 7 women to maintain intimacy.
- We will begin at 10am Friday, March 9th and will end at noon on Sunday, March 11th.
- Cost $250/+$10 per night for camping (optional).
- You will be responsible for your own breakfast, lunch and snacks. Dinners will be provided and there will be plenty of tea! You will receive directions upon registration.
If you have any questions or aren't sure if this is right for you, please reach out. I am more than happy to talk with you to see if this is what you are needing right now.
